Building Service Attendant

McBride Homes is seeking a Building Service Attendant to perform general cleaning and maintenance duties for both McBride Homes corporate office and McBride Homes Design Studio. This position will perform general labor, basic maintenance, and janitorial tasks to clean and care for McBride facilities to maintain a safe, sanitary, and attractive environment.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure facility is clean and well maintained. Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, common areas, offices, stairways and windows.
• Inspects building on routine basis and performance maintenance where necessary to keep facility in high functioning and serviceable condition.
• Completes daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedures.
• Uses brooms, mop, and floor equipment to sweep, mop, strip and wax floors.
• Uses vacuum cleaners to clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and blinds.
• Dusts furniture and empties wastebaskets.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills.
• Replenishes restroom and fitness center supplies.
• Handles emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
• Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.
• Performs touch up and finish painting.
• Provides transportation using company vehicle.

Other duties:

• Order office supplies and keep office organized
• Maintain a stocked refrigerator and organized kitchen for employees use
• Coordinate with management for new initiatives and tasks

Position pays $40,000/yr. and offers excellent benefits including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 401K with matching contribution and paid vacation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D with 2-3 years general maintenance experience
• Must be able to work M-F 6:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
• Frequently lifts and carries items that can weigh up to 50 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Positive attitude and enthusiastic personality.
• Must present a professional image and demonstrate sound judgement and initiative.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
